Health & Life + Voluntary Benefits
Health & Life manages the programs and vendors related to the health and life benefits offered to full and part-time benefits-eligible employees. These include medical, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts and life insurance. Compliance with the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and the requirement to offer medical coverage to eligible contingent workers is also managed by this group. A suite of voluntary/optional benefits are also overseen by this group, including free identity theft protection, pet insurance, and more.
Retirement Savings Programs
Retirement savings supports employees by ensuring a variety of investment strategies and resources are available throughout their Stanford careers. This group leads the planning and execution of all retirement programs (SCRP, SRAP and 457(b)) and manages the vendor partnerships.
We manage the university’s staff compensation program, for non-academic and temporary/casual staff employees and provide guidance to HR Managers on compensation-related decisions. We also are responsible for university-wide staff service recognition programs.
