The Chief of Staff partners with the HR Leadership Team and Vice President for Human Resources to design and advance an HR strategic vision that improves the delivery of programs and services for Stanford employees. 

  • As the central hub for Stanford Human Resources, the Chief of Staff’s office has a broad view of new and ongoing projects and programs, as well as available resources and technology, and serves as a catalyst for information sharing across the organization to drive critical decision-making and leadership through change. 

The Chief of Staff oversees the unit’s financial operations and project portfolio,  as well as strategic employee communications and organizational change management partnerships, in order to explore, prioritize, and plan what is possible.
